So I just got my first ever order in from TSM Aquatics. Yesterday I had ordered Orange Storm Clownfish. I'd been watching TSM Aquatics website for at least a week or 2 waiting to see if they were ever going to update their stock of clownfish as their current stock was super low. Honestly had ended up making a purchase through The Coral Reef for a bonded pair of davinci's. Then I had checked TSM after just because and saw they had finally added new clowns! I saw some orange storm that looked gorgeous! The picture shows 2 orange storm's and if you look right now, still has a few in stock so you can see the exact picture I saw. They are 2 different fish, not the exact same fish, so I assumed bonded pair right? Way most every other site does it, if you are selling 1 fish, you post 1 picture of a single fish, not 2 fish. So I ordered the Orange Storm expecting a bonded pair coming in.
Of course to my surprise about 15 minutes ago when I opened the box and see a single Orange Storm Clownfish swimming and not 2. I will say he looks SUPER Healthy and extremely active. Currently floating him to temp acclimate as I type this. I called TSM Aquatics over this confusion and come to find out apparently I had only ordered 1 even though it shows 2 fish. I will say that noone does it say "bonded pair" or 2 fish. To me its also not real clear that it is 1 fish. I mentioned that to them and pretty much got told yep thats what you ordered. I told them for future reference they could make that more clear on the website.
So I'm extremely unhappy that I didn't get a bonded pair as I've never bonded clowns, now I'm going to have to learn. I feel its abit shady.
At the same time I am happy as to how the single one I do have is healthy and active. I'll start a drip acclimate here soon.
So TDLR : Watch what you are ordering from them, I feel that was shady. Though the specimen is healthy.
