im not having much luck with ttm and gobies, as a prophylactic treatment. I’ve tried a yellow striped cleaner gobie and a orange spotted shrimp gobie. Both have died during the treatment.
I follow the sparks ttm method and this is how I do it.
Day 1 acclimate fish, match sg of tank to shipping bag, temp acclimate net and release. This last gobie came in 1.016 sg. During the ttm I do a daily wc raising sg .001 per day. Is this to stressful ? Should I raise sg .001 daily until I reach my targeted sg, then start ttm ?
Both my tanks I check temp and get it as close as I can measuring with a thermometer then net and transfer with no acclimation, do you guys acclimate differently than this During ttm? Also I’m using a refractometer calibrated every time before use with calibration fluid. Any suggestions?

When the fish come in, do they eat in the tank in the first few days? Any other signs of disease?

For transferring between tanks, you could try picking up a square colander. That might allow for a lower stress transfer without concern for doing damage that could lead to bacterial infections.

I would personally just top off evaporation with 1.026 water and allow it to happen more slowly.

Ya fish was eating by the first evening but quit after the first transfer. Also he was breathing heavy but it wasn’t alarming wasn’t gasping at the surface

I prefer to give new acquisitions a week or two to settle in, feed regularly and get on a schedule before I start TTM. Shipping can be highly stressful for fish, so some time to recover is preferred before subjecting them to treatments, unless symptoms dictate otherwise.
