I have a YT I put in QT last night around 11pm. If I were to get a new fish today and add it to the same tank as the YT do I continue the 72hrs of the tang or do I reset the timer?

It would be a reset. Also, if doing TTM, I would suggest reading up on using H2O2 dips along with it and documenting how it goes for you.

I have now run a tang, 2 clowns, numerous puffers, and some nano fish through it and it works great with minimal stress. Link to hybrid TTM below. @Humblefish is to thank for it.
