Which do you perceive to be less stressful on fish? Which is more effective? I was planning to do TTM, but then got to wondering if swapping them between tanks might be more stressful than hypo.

Thanks Meredith. I'm set up for TTM, so I'll go ahead with that. FWIW these are the fish I'm QTing:TTM would be more effective. I honestly don't see that it's very stressful on the fish. I've used it on several species including blue star leopard wrasses and have not seen any stress related problems from it. Hypo can be a good course if that's your only option, but my order of treatment would go 1.TTM 2. Copper/CP 3. Hypo In that order depending on what you are capable to doing and if the fish are presenting any symptoms.
Thanks Meredith. I'm set up for TTM, so I'll go ahead with that. FWIW these are the fish I'm QTing:
- flame angel
- purple firefish
- yellow/gold assessor basslet
- diamond goby
- mystery wrasse
Yeah. I have eggcrate as a lid for the QT (ordered a nice acrylic one for the DT from Artfully Acrylic). I'm using an ammonia alert badge to monitor ammonia, and I'm keeping SW ready for emergency water changes if necessary. I also have prime on hand, but I try to avoid using it if possible. That will work out pretty good. If they are all together at the same time, then you may need some Prime and to do water changes on the tank in between transfers. Also a lid will be paramount.
I'll be following the method Humblefish outlines here: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/tank-transfer-method.192655/How long do you plan on QT'ing them and how many transfers?
