I am on transfer 3 of TTM and have to leave town this weekend. Transfer 4 is Thursday and I leave Friday. I read that the final transfer can go into a QT setup. Am I hearing this correct, or does the fish need to exit the 4th tank and into QT? if I miss the 4th transfer, I assume the clock starts all over again?

Just so I'm sure we're on the same page, do our version of "transfers" line up:

Day 1 - Fish is placed in initial QT.
Day 4 - Roughly 72 hours later transfer the fish to new tank. The time of day you do the transfer is unimportant, but never exceed 72 hours from the last transfer. The temperature and SG of the new tank should match the old one perfectly, so you can just catch & release (no acclimation). Transfer as little water as possible with the fish.
Day 7 - Repeat.
Day 10 - Repeat.
Day 13 - Repeat and done (fish should now be ich free).

So long as you (or someone) can transfer the fish into a QT setup on Sunday, your TTM is complete and has been successful. Transfer 5 (Day 13) can even be into a DT so long as you have had the fish 1 month in total, to observe for the possibility of velvet, bacterial infections, etc. It would also be optimal to deworm the fish using Prazipro before transferring into the DT.
