hello. I've had my tube anemone for about 2 1/2 years now and a strange thing happened yesterday. the body/head left the tube portion. is this normal? the body attached itself to a rock. will it die or will it go back to it's tube?

It's quite common for them to leave the old tube and roll around the tank looking for a better location. Just set it down in the sand where you want it and if it likes the location it will start to build a new tube.

right now, it's still attached to the rock, but very close to the sand. hopefully he'll crawl off and build a new home. thanks for the replies gentlemen.
