Is this tube (on the left) something to be worried about?

And no, nothing to worry about.
 
Tis why acans need some space between them and other corals.
 
Are you sure that is an Acan? Looks more like a small brain coral to me, which give out these small feelers at night or typically after feedings
 
Not positive that it is an acan, that's just what the LFS said.
It does look like a high voltage platygyra. Either way, that looks like a feeler and are perfectly normal.
 
yeah looks like a brain coral frag, they do sting nearby corals. Acan corals can typically be placed next to each other without issues as they don't sting one another, but these brain corals can extend their feeders a few inches from the base, so make sure there is nothing within at least 3-4" from the frag to be safe.
