Tube thing ID?

Any idea what these are growing out of my acan's?

I thought maybe vermetid snail tubes but although the tubes seem to be emitting a stringy web material, the tubes themselves are soft and I can't seem to find any snails or critters around the base or bottom of the coral.

Full disclosure: I'm still very new to the hobby and in the excitement of getting some new corals today didn't check these acans out properly before buying them - now I'm freaking out that I made a terrible mistake

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

hi ,welcome to the reef...
to me looks like vermetid snails, coral looks good ,growth over bases.
take coral out of tank to super glue holes shut. gel type.
not break off for a while ,not to damage coral tissue.
