Hard to say with the pic, but looks like either a feather duster tube worm, or a vermetid snail. If a crown of feathery filter-feeding appendages pop out, it's a feather duster; if a mucus net is sent out, it's a vermetid snail.

Vermetid snail. If you can easily and safely remove the coral then it should make it easier to break off the base of the vermit snail and make sure the whole snail is removed.

The vermetid snail puts out snot trails that string along the other corals and bother it - I'm not sure if they sting but they certainly annoy most corals enough to destroy tissue an allow infection to take hold.

If removing the coral for easy removal is an issue then get a set of stainless dental picks - Available for like $3 at harbor freight and jam a steel tip down that tube to the bottom and spin it around - breaking the tube and hopefully shredding the worm underneath.

But keep an eye on it. Without 100% visual check you removed or wiped it out, Any lil bit of the worm left alive can start over and keep spreading in the tank.

If this came in on a new piece of coral an you don't see snot trails coming out of the rock work when you feed, then you may have only one from the new coral.

If you see the lil snot trails showing up all over the tank- the tube may not always be visible - then you need to get to digging with the dental picks and start shopping for some bumble bee snails.

Bumble Bee Snails will keep a small problem in check, and very very slow erradicate it, but if you have a big infestation you are going to need to get aggressive with digging out as many as you can.
