Tube Work Infestation on Birdnest?

I thought these where Vermatid snails until I got a close look. They are causing havoc with what was a very healthy birdnest sps. I’ve never seen what’s inside the tube, it never comes out, unlike a work that makes a fan, or a vermatid that oozes gooy slime. They don’t seem to like light, as the infestation is only in areas of low light. … and how do you edit the heading?lol

Those look like vermetid snail tubes to me, so I'd assume that's what they are (they may be empty or active at night if you never see things coming out of them).
