Tube worm bugging torch?

Would this tube worm be bugging the torch?

I noticed it when we first brought the torch in but I didn't think it would cause us any harm as it's a filter feeder.

Looks like a vermetid snail. Take a needlenose and break off the tube at the base and discard. Assure you remove it all
