This is tube Anemone, not worm. What you see is either due to stress or can be damage from them expelling food particle and sand which tears the soft tissue at their top rim. Many hobbyists place them within a small PVC pipe to both help keep its' shape and also protect the tube. Beautiful creatures they are and as they become large , they can sting in the form of a giant aptasia.

Uhhhhhhh some one give me the wrong info, to me it does looks like an anemone but been told tube worm, some one also told me that it was trying to reproduce, as she was spelling some mucous before but it keeps continuously the same way, well i do have another buried in the sand I just have to invert the stone to the other side so it will buried again in the sand and see how it does, thanks for clarification and info, I love this anemone and certainly it is beautiful with her center black and pink legs, I wonder if its stress what can it be many by me putting her looking to the top has create stress on her. I also needs to run a water test. Thanks again.

Yep. Definitely anemone. I really like the tubes. I wouldn't worry about the tube peeling. Mine actually came out of it's tube when I bought it and shoved it back in. An hour later it was happy and feeding. I believe they actually use sand to help form the tube. I tucked mine under the edge of a rock to help keep it in place because I have a diamond goby.
