So how should I attach my small tube that I have connected from the pump to my PVC. The pvc is half inch. What size barbed tube adapters should I get, 3/4” or 1/2”. And do they sell pvc slip ones or do I get the ones that screw on?

Yes you will need a barbed adapter to do this. You would need 1/2" or 3/4" depending on what your return line is. I would use a slip x threaded coupling at the end of the PVC pipe then a threaded barb fitting to connect to the vinyl/silicone tubing off the pump.

There are a million different types of adapters just search barb x slip adapter and you’ll find it. Size depends on the id of the hose and what size the pipe is.

Can I use a 3/4” tube on a 1/2 pipe.

It will work with the correct barb adapter others have recommended. What is the other end of the tube going to be attached to (i.e. pump, UV, etc.)? I would get the PVC side adapter to match whatever is on the end.
