I also added a basic trim to the tank, which matched the rest of the house, and just need to paint it. That part I’m definitely terrified about.

I would have painted the trim then installed it.
Just cover you tank and sump with plastic as best you can and turn off your skimmer.
Open the windows and paint. Your tanks in another room so should be fine.

I put down 3 layers of painters tape on either side of the trim and was able to get the it done without getting any on the tank. Phew.

A local reefer was nice enough to let me borrow their apogee so I’ve been tinkering with it for a few days. Here’s the mockups for my waterbox 20 lit with a Kessil a360ne, and also my 40g frag tank which is lit with an Ocean Revive T247.

Ive run it a few times over the big tank but the par output isn’t great. I have 4x Kessil a360we and a few 470nm bars which should be adding about 90W but I don’t think they’re putting out whats advertised. The PAR at the top of my rocks is 150-200. But then I’m also getting 100-120 in the sand so it’s weird how little variation there is. I’m hoping to add some of those 470nm bars from aliexpress to hopefully give me the 250-300 PAR I need for SPS.

Also a couple of general shots from the tank. I picked up a Raja Rampage finally from a local reefer. It’s been on my list for a long time so really excited to have it in my tank.
