My half black and white minic tang has been fighting with my purple tang. The tang is eating but it's getting white patches. It also has one very small spot on the other side. It's not ick or velvet. No other tangs have it. It is a new arrival and is the smallest. Should I put kanaplex in its food, or don't worry about it as it will go away. Or is it changing?

Thank you. I thought it was injury. The white spot on the other side may be injury too. So far the fish is still eating. I'll try to medicate.

Update: Live Aquaria sent a chocolate minic tang instead of a half back tang. They had the audacity to say I should have let them know within 7 days I had the wrong fish. I couldn't tell anything with it being a juvenile. After going around and around with customer service, they did give me half credit. Now I have two chocolate minics in my tank (frustrated). The one with the circle is supposed to be the half black minic tang! (Ugh)

Im surprised no squabbling or tail bashing but Lucky You. Keep them fed and offer proper diet.
Suggestions are :

Spirulina brine shrimp
Nori seaweed basted with garlic extract
LRS Herbivore diet
Formula 2 flake and frozen
Hikari Marine cuisine
Hikari Mega marine algae
Mysis shrimp
small plankton

Add selcon vitamins to the food 2-3X per week and garlic extract on alternating days for immunity system health and overall stamina

Well, one is larger than the other. They swat at each other sometimes. But the supposedly half black minic is not as yellow as the older one. It's more grey. Maybe it will get more yellow in time. Looks like a hybrid

Thank you I'll up the selcon. They swat at times, but one is larger than the other. The smaller one is more grey in color. "Hybrid" maybe. I'll see if it changes more.
