Picked up a used SRO 3000 SSS today and trying to get the bubbles the way I normally run them. This skimmer does not have an adjustment for air though. Can I restrict the air silencer with some cotton balls to help with this? The bubbles are not very fine in the collection cup.

That might help.

But you might have the water level too high as well....either the level of the sump or the level in the skimmer....or both.

Try raising or lowering either level by 1/4"-1/2" for a day or two to compare performance.

(Always make adjustments based on skimmate produced - not on current skimming performance.)

I'm getting great foam production but having trouble getting it to make it into the collection cup
