Hi.

So, I've read a lot on this but it's not not clear to me on exactly what I'm shooting for when dialing in the skimmer.

I have a Reef Octopus 110-s.

Is the goal to have the bubbles coming up into in the upper collection cup rise right to the top where it gently overflows slowly to container?

So many variables, and no two skimmers are the same. Basic answer I’d recommend is to set the level such that after a day you have a small amount of skimmate in the cup. Make small adjustments until you get comfortable with the results and go from there. All assuming it’s broken in and nothing is going on to make it go crazy.

Thank you. But to get skimmate it needs to at some point overflow into the bottom of the collection cup from the cone that comes up into the collection cup right. Or just by rising to the collection cup itself will it overflow when it needs to and normal operation is that it is not overflowing to the collection up?

Not sure if I’m even asking correctly.
