Tuning your CalRx | Alternate method thats too easy

are people still using their calcium reactor this way?

If so, what bubble count are you doing it at? I know it says do not look at that but I would like to know for some start point
 
yes, for my system is 1 bubble every 10 sec. and my pH in my reactor stays around 6.72 but each tank will be different!
 
Each tank will be different. My regulator gauge is set at 7psi. Think my bubble speed on the aquarium plants regulator is set at 2sec.
 
Bubble count is approximate when starting, but just start at a low effluent rate around 30ml per min or below, keep metering valve slightly open, and just use co2 regulator and gauge to tune since it’s a number you can actually see. I play around 3 to 8 psi operating pressure making 1/4 psi increments then wait for ph to stabilize.
 
My pressure is set at 10psi, Bubble count is set at 1BBL/2Sec, effluent 50 ml/min and PH range is set at 6.85/6.75. Pretty sure that pretty much has it now although, it will need tuned as the coral grow.
 
Should the flow regulator be on the feed or effluent side of the CARX?
My continuous flow needle valve is after the second stage close to where the output goes back into the sump.
So, the needle valve (flow regulator) is the last thing on my setup.

My GEO 2 stage has a .5 Sicce re-circulation pump for the reactor but I bought the Sicce 1.0 pump for the continuous feed pump.
 
This video really makes it simple to tune. I've been on it for a few months but I'm starting to see a slight dip in my alk so I need to adjust.

So here is my graph from my use of this method. It is rather jumpy if you will, should I increase my bubble/C02 and soothe out into more of a curve?

Looks very tight to me. :)
 
I would think you have to slow your bubble count. It’s coming down fast. More bubbles push it down faster.

With what pH settings?

it looks like it turned on at 10 AM and then turned off 22:00?

Is it being controlled by timer and pH?

Or did it only turn on and off once in a day?

Or is it also controlling between 10 and 22, creating the sinusiod graph that looks like noise to me.

it is controlled by ph using my Apex.
yes it is turned on at 10am and off 22:00 to prevent low pH issue at night . is the right thing to do ?
