So for a few months now, I'll come home to my tank spitting bubbles, uh oh ATO failed, sure enough the return chamber will almost be empty with a full RO reservoir! I'll unplug and plug it back in and the pump turns on and pumps water for about 1 second, and then shuts off, I have to keep unplugging it and then plugging it back in for it to run 1 second until it's raised the float sensor to the normal water height. Sometimes it will operate correctly after I unplug and plug it back in but it always fails after that. Also, I should say, I can pull the pump out of water and run dry and it will run for 1:30 minutes but as soon as I put it back in water, back to running for 1 second only. Is this a pump issue or controller issue? I don't have my receipt anymore so idk if tunze can help me, the ATO is about a year old. @rvitko what's your opinion? If anyone else had this problem can you tell me if replacing the pump would work?

#mods I don't know why this went to "Aquarium Reef Keepers of Southern Connecticut" but I was trying to put it in General Hardware, Equipment etc. Can you move please? @melypr1985

Have you checked the line to make sure it isn't clogged? Also is the pump clean?

I shook it out and ran it upside down under water, to check for that. I ordered a replacement pump. I will update this thread once it gets here

Ok so the replacement pump seemed to fix the problem, so anyone with this problem, go ahead and buy the 20 dollar replacement pump, it works!
