Tunze 3155 ATO help!

Bought two tunzes 3155 ATO‘s one for my 90 gallon and one foR my 75 gallon, the one on the 90 gallon works great but the one on my 75 gallon only shuts off with the high water float which makes the alarm go off, I can’t for the life of me figure out why it is not turning off on the optical eye. Has anyone had this problem? If yes what was the fix? Any help would be great thanks.

Try cleaning the optical sensor with vinegar as if there are any micro bubbles on it or forming, or slime it can prevent it working properly. You didn’t say if they were new or used.

You can also do a self test with it to check the optical sensor is working as well. When you restart it the first light comes on for about 1 second and I think shows green or red, red is fail.
