Tunze 6095 or 6040?

For a 36"×24"×24"tall Which one is better?

I would think the 6095 would be better as it has a wider flow pattern. For my new build which has the dimensions of 36x18x20, I'm considering either 2 Tunze 6095s or 2 Gyre xf230s.

I had a bad experience with gyre. Nice flow. Too fragile

Were your problems with the older 100 series or the newer 200 series?

Xf130 previous generation. Broke in less than one month.

6095 will definitely more much more water. 6040 seems a bit underpowered for a 3', 90g tank. I have an older 6095 in a 4', 55g tank and it mores quite a bit of water so I think you will be happy with it. Tunze are quality products and the service, whenever you need it, is outstanding.

Will you have sand? Will you have softies? I have a 6095 and 3 6055's the 6095 are powerful, I use them on a 120 gallon tank. I use two at a time and rotate will cleaning them.

Yes. I have sand. Softies just some polyps.

In my 45 I have 1 6040 and it does more than enough.
