Tunze 6095 pump

I have several Tunze 6095 pumps. One of them instead of running normally, is just pulsing. Goes on for a few seconds and then goes off, back on and off etc. I have changed the impeller, replaced the bearings as well as connected a new power supply. Nothing has worked. Can you give me some guidance.

Is the metal shaft still rigidly fixed in the motor? It sounds like you have tried everything else. Is this a newer model with built in controller or pre 2015 without the controller.

Metal shaft is still rigidly fixed in the motor. I believe all the ones I have are pre 2015 without the controller.

The most probable is that the motor is dying, this behavior would match capacitors failing on the internal board, they tend to last about 8 years, it can also happen if previously the pump was jammed for an extended time and overheated due to coil damage or circuit board damage. Replacing the motor, part 6095.100 would solve the problem in this case.

I removed the 24 volt fuse (for lack of a better word) from the power supply, and installed a 12 volt one that was included with the pump when I purchased it. So far (knock of wood) it has been working fine for two days now.

Hmm, that would usually point to some obstruction in the pump or a bad power supply, basically you are pushing past the limits of a safety at full power because something is jammed or the power supply is dying. If you exceed 30W, the power supply cuts off, the motor has a safety for overheating as well.

Thinking it was the power supply, I connected a new one - I always keep as a spare. Same thing happened - pulsing.

That is strange, and you are sure the shaft is firmly fixed in the motor and the impeller well is clean and the disk 6055.740 is in place? Generally this would mean something is causing too much drag and resistance at high speed and triggering a safety shut down.
