How old is the pump. Does it come with controller or just pump.

Not sure of exact age of pump as I’m not original owner. I used on my 200 gallon for about 6 months before I took down my tank. It moves a lot of water. I do have a spare controller that I can include with the tunze if you don’t have one already

So would I be able to control flow as well as pulse or just pulse?

Depending on the controller it’s hooked up to you can control both flow and pulse. I need to check the spare controller I have left over. But most likely the controller is intended for pulse
