Tunze team, I have a 7077/3 model co2 regulator and need direction on the needle valve set up - Is the fine needle valve full open turned all the way in or opposite turned all the way out? Thanks Rick

May want to either tag them or reach out to customer service

Hey, thanks man - will look into that. Cheers!

Yes, all the way in is closed, you can actually remove the screw and you will see the end is a needletip that goes in and out of an orifice to let CO2 through.

@rvitko I'm using this with the CarbonDoser V2. I have a couple questions if you don't mind.

1. Is there a "recommended" setting for the needle valve? i.e. screw halfway through / fully open / or a couple turns from closed.

2. The pressure gauge on the regulator, which I've set to .7 bar, seems to tick up and tick down when the CarbonDoser ticks. Is that supposed to happen? If no, what do I need to fix?

TIA

Turned all the way in the needlevalve is closed, you will use the needlevalve to set the amount of the bubble portion, basically the bubble size. Pressure is held in the tubing and body of the regulator, when the valve opens in the carbondoser, there will be a drop in pressure, if this is dramatic, you need to adjust the pressure and needlevalve to compensate, a small bounce is OK, but if it drops and rises considerably, the pressure setting is too low or the needlevalve is open too far.

If I've set the Carbon Doser to 2.5secs per bubble and im seeing more than 1 bubble every second or so on the bubble counter part of the GEO reactor, where and what needs adjustment?

Sorry for the follow up questions. I'm relatively new to using a calcium reactor and dialing it in has been quite a challenge for me.
