Components are starting to arrive, tank should hopefully ship out today!
So, in the den where the tank will be located I need to run water in from the RODI unit. the RO Controller needs to be in front of the RODI Unit. Both I plan to locate about 20' away.
I want to run as few water lines as possible so that means 1 supply line to the reservoir beside the Sump and one drain line at the tank for water changes.
The Tunze water controller's float switch sensor wires are too short. Aside from voiding warranty would adding up to 20' of wire to these float switches cause them to not work?
The other option is I run a "raw" water line to the tank and place the RO Controller under by the sump, then output this back 20' to the RODI Unit, then run the clean water back to the reservoir. Including the drain that would be 4 water lines.
I think, in theory, cutting and extending the float sensor wires should work fine, has anyone done this?
I've tried to illustrate what I'm trying to accomplish.
If I can safely extend the float sensor wires Option 1 is by far the cleaner setup.
Thoughts on Option 1?
