Hey folks... I need some advice on where I should be running this skimmer on my way.
I have a Nuvo 20.
Right now I have it running in the 3rd chamber. (The one next to the overflow and between the baffle) The only way I could get it to fit I there was removing the clear piece at the bottom of the skimmer that sits opposite of the pump.
It seems to be running okay right now.. not getting a ton of skim mate but then again it's new.. I know for a fact it's not at the recommended water line though.

Should I be putting it the the middle chamber with the return pump instead? It doesn't looks easy to make that happen.. so I'm confused. I really like the spot I have it in now but that plastic baffle is in the way and it won't fit without removing that clear plastic part... do I even need that piece? I'm not having an issue with micro bubbles... yet...

Also... how tight/loose should I have the knob turned?

Thanks in advance!

This is where i have it set up...

I dont have a nuvo, so not sure which section it is in, but it should be in a section with constant water level. I just got mine and its skimming right away. Yours looks way too high out of the water. Water line should be just below the collection cup, about 1/4 or 1/2 inch. I would close the screw all the way (so there is no air), then slowly open it, allowing a few hours between turns, until the foam level is where you want it. Dont need to have the clear plastic, I think that just helps with mirco bubbles.
