Tunze 9001 placement for RS Nano Max.??

Hey Reefers...

Sorry in advance for another newbie lame thread...

I have the RS nano max setup. The stick skimmer was ok although tad noisy and bulky. I was hoping to remove it for added space and peace..

I purchased the highly bragged about Tunze 9001 for it as told it was silent and fits in back chambers ok.

I have the stock light and power supply thingy still on back and I've noticed it's a rather tight fit and a tad annoying as you have to move whole skimmer to get the waste cup off..? Seems a headache to me.

I was wondering if you guys have this same skimmer and system and what the trick is please.. I'm almost ready to bung stock one back on the tank..

From what I remember a few other Red Sea Nano users went with a different skimmer. If you search a bit you can probably find one of the threads.

My skimmer in the max nano runs very quiet. It took a couple of months to do so but other than the space it takes up I had no complaints. It was however a pain to set the water level and air ratio just right.

Now that I'm thinking it is a pain to clean cause you can't really get inside the thing.
