I've had this skimmer for 6 months now and I'm not sure what I gunk of it. I almost feel like I haven't gotten it to work right yet or something. It only pulls out light skimate and not even very much of that. I have it on my 28 gal jbj. Anyone think of anything I might be doing wrong?

on these smaller tanks I have found that if you do water changes typically you will not get anything too dark. If you run it more dry it will be darker. But it will take longer to fill the cup and the longer the nog sits there the darker it will appear as well.
Had the same skimmer on the same tank, I found that running it a bit wet worked best (where you dump it every 2 days) but it is TOUCHY to water level! You really need to be on top of top offs or use a ATO and then because it is on such a small tank you need to watch your salinity like a hawk. Another problem I had is if you dont tear it apart and let the whole thing sit in a bit of RO water in peices it clogs all over with creep.
What I am trying to say is it works fantasic but you really need to be involved in the maintainence of that skimmer or it will end up frustrating the hell out of you.
