Tunze 9012 DOC Skimmer Overlow

Hello, I have a brand new Tunze 9012 DOC Skimmer and have had some issues getting it to... work lol. i've tried changing the airflow the height in the water but no matter what the thing just over skims fills the cup full of clean water and overflows. im not super experience with skimmer, and its my first Tunze Skimmer, but I cannot figure out whats the dealio. anyone with any input on this dang thing would be helpful!

Like any skimmer, it needs time to break in. Remove the cup and let it overflow until it calms down.

so just remove the entire cup and wait for it to calm its horses? lol

Yep. Took my last two skimmers about 1-1 1/2 weeks to break in.
