Hi all, I’ve just joined r2r as there is a lot of useful info out there.
I set up a new marine tank about a month ago and with not enough room for a sump I opted for the FX6 and up graded the internal filters from the manufacturer. I bought a new Tunze 9012 skimmer as this apparently is big enough to deal with 350ltrs, however, this has been running for 3 weeks now and I’ve just about given up on it. I understand the breaking in period and that, but for some reason there is no difference in it since day one. I’ve had it sat at all different heights I’ve adjusted the air in take in so many different ways. The troubles I’m getting, Air in take fully open and the noise is terrible if I close the air in take bit by bit I have micro bubbles, I honestly cannot win with it, I’ve also taken the skimmer out and checked everything is correctly fitted which I’m certain it is. Is there any help or ideas out there that I could try before the skimmer goes through my front window. [emoji29]

I don’t know anything about that skimmer but hopefully someone will chime in that can help.
