Tunze Apex question

I acquired a tunze 6105 for a real cheap price. It doesn’t have a controller but I’m going to order the cable to connect it to my apex. Is there anything else I need? I’m not sure about the VDM or do I need a controller to be able to control the speeds?

Assuming this is the cable you mean, then it would plug into one of the variable speed ports of your Apex. If you don't have one available (you didn't mention your Apex model), then yes - you would need a VDM module to get a port for it. This would give you control of up to two pumps on a single port (or just one if that's all you have/need).

Yes that’s the cable I was talking about. I have the apex classic so I have two ports already. I have always used vortechs and just wanted to give tunze a shot. So in short, the vdm adds more ports or gives you ports of you don’t have the correct model? Thanks again!
