I installed my tunze ato today on my new system. This same ATO was used on my last system and worked fine. The problem is when the pump kicks on and then shuts off water keeps flowing like it started a siphon. What would cause the water to keep flowing like this and why isnt the water getting cut off? The hose running to the sump is not under water.

I had the same problem with mine Matt. For me I had to adjust the elevation of the exit of the outfall tube. As long as it is higher than the water in your ATO reservoir it won't siphon. If its below your entire ATO reservoir likely will siphon into your sump. Maybe you have a similar setup as I do and this may be your problem??!

Well my ATO container is sitting right next to my sump. But the container is tall and narrow so the water level is going to be higher than my sump. Need to figure something out.

Sounds like it's the identical problem I had and quickly looking at your build thread I would say It's highly likely the same problem. Somehow find a way to have the exit of the outfall tube exit higher than the water level in your ATO reservoir. As a quick way to check and ensure this is the problem hold the outfall tube in your hand at a higher elevation than the water level in the ATO reservoir and run the 3155 and see if it still siphons... my guess it won't.

Have a good evening Matt!

Thanks for the help. Ran the ATO line up the back into the emergency drain in my overflow. Can't be seen from the front of the tank.

Yeah...... your setup a doing a auto siphon with your ATO. ..

try find a different reservoir and maybe raise the top off hose a bit higher.

I had that happen before to.
