Tunze ATO for my Nano.

Just got a new ATO for my tank. Planning to mix Kalk with the top off water. I am keeping it stirred with a small powerhead in my reservoir. Should I run the powerhead continuously? Any suggestions, experiences, comments would be appreciated. Thx

No need to stir the kalk once it's in the ATO reservoir. It will form a thin crust over the top which is normal. Give it an initial mix and then pour it into your ato reservoir. I do tape the ATO pump lines so that the pump does not suck directly off the bottom of the reservoir. This will help lengthen the life of the pump by keeping it from sucking the undisolved powder off the bottom.

Every month or so I clean out the container and start over. Vinegar will disolve the kalk residue for your container.
