Hey guys and gals.
My tunze ATO pump has been running for 1 year (almost to the day) and it's getting rather loud like it's dying.
Is this common? Is their a way to get the impeller out to clean it? I looked quick and it seems to all be glued together which means can't take it apart.

Thanks in advance.

Do you run kalk in your ato?

I normally just run it in a bucket of vinegar for a few hours 2-3 times a year.

That being said the pump itself overall is relatively inexpensive to buy new.

yup you’ll have to buy a new one. their pumps are not known to be of high quality. i went through a few before i just trashed the whole system.

No Kalk, it runs into the Kalk reactor.
Guess I'll be buying a pump. Maybe I can find a better quality one.
Thanks.

I find their pumps to be very good quality. I've been using their ATO for over 10 years and only on my 2nd pump. I even let it run dry for hours.

I just got the switched socket outlet to drive a pump 30 feet away through 1/4" tubing. A peristaltic pump or diaphragm pump will last much longer.

Just throwing it out there... if anyone is interested, I have a BNIBag Tunze switched socket outlet that I no longer need. Shoot me a PM if interested. :)
