putting together red sea 170 max cube (without sump upgrade) - trying to get an idea where ppl with similar tanks place their ato. I have the tunze osm - can I place in the rear sump (it would be a cleaner look) vs placing within the display tank.

I'm not sure, but I think the sump would be fine... but let's give you a bump to see what others say.

I don't have the 170 max, but from watching a couple of videos, it looks like that should be fine. It looks like you should be able to put the sensors in the return section. As I said, I don't have the tank. Hopefully someone with personal experience will chime in.

Oh. And congrats on the upgrade!
