Amazon Tunze Care Booster
Got mine a week or so back, from Amazon.
Using it with a Tunze Strong, on 14mm glass. Attached easily, fits well... you get two complete sets in a pack.
Normally, when I loose my inside magnet, I would use an acrylic rod to push it to the edge, and pick it back up. Sometimes, that doesn't work. Sometimes, it ends up requiring me to roll up my sleeve. I hate that...
Greybeard's 2nd rule of reefing: Keep your filthy mitts outa the dag blasted tank.
The Tunze life jacket (Care Booster) works as advertised. Floats the inside magnet, makes it simple to re-connect. So far, it hasn't gotten in my way, doesn't look horrible... I'd see no reason _not_ to buy one. I'd been waiting on something like this when I heard that MagFloat's patent had expired. Figured I'd have to buy a new magnet... love the idea of a relatively inexpensive add on
Got a Tunze care magnet cleaner? These are a fine addition. I highly recommend them.
Don't have a Tunze care magnet cleaner? You might look into them. Their curved edge design makes cleaning up to your silicone seals WITHOUT damaging the silicone easy. The short/long end combination makes it easy to reach places that other magnets won't go. The lack of 'velcro' cleaning pads makes scratching the he(ck) out of your tank by getting a bit of sand trapped much less likely. Yes, they're a bit more expensive than some of the competing products. IHMO, they're worth it.
