Debating on going up a size on this for my 3/8" glass tank. Apparently the care king is good for 3/8" to 1/2", but I just want to make sure I don't miss out on anything by not upsizing magnets.

Just went with the long. Found a reply from tunze to this question saying that oversizing them that much reduces blade life. Also some reports of the being "jittery" when you overdo the magnets.
