Tunze COMLINE DOC SKIMMER 9004 question

Hi I am getting a frag tank that is 8.5 inches tall. Will the Tunze 9004 skimmer work at this height or will it be too big?

That’s gonna be close. I use the 9004 in my 30 gallon. I’d estimate it’s in 7.5” of water with the magnet mounts. I can measure tonight. But the water line meets the center of the collection cup. Took about a week to break in before thick skimmate was present.

oh well that sucks lol this frag tank I am getting is only 8.5 inches tall.. Now I am not sure what to get.
