Not sure what I’m doing wrong, the pump was working, I removed it for a water change, doesn’t work now, will work with the black tubing disconnected but when I connect it, it stops pumping water, still making a pumping noise, just no water coming out, the height to the tank is only a few cm.

I think the tubing may be getting blocked when I push it in the connection? Do I just push the tubing into the outlet hole on the pump? Or am I missing something?

They are notorious for getting air stuck in the pump when they are pulled out of water. Easier way is to turn the pump on its side and shake it a bit to get the air bubbles out. I stopped using mine on my reef tank due to this and only use it on my FW Planted tank now, which isn’t dire since no salt level to maintain, only water level.
