love the ATO been using it since 2001
a fellow reefer wants me to install one on his system but his reservoir is higher than the tank, and I know my system will create a siphon.
so by installing the pump higher than the sump hell get a siphon, any ideas how to break the siphon .
I don't think tunze has resolveled this issue

That is correct, it will create a siphon. I have my ATO line placed directly in my overflow for this reason. I have a 20 gallon tall trash can that sits beside my tank (inside a cabinet) and I get siphon issues. One thing that my friend did was he ran a long PVC line that started above the ATO container and mounted it to his sump. He then took the end of his ATO line and fastened it to the inside of the PVC pipe such that the end is higher than the container and the water trickles down the thin PVC pipe down into the sump.

cant have a trickle of water has to come to a stop it can only work when the pump pumps the water,
hey just a thought, how about running the water to a humidifier float valve,na that wouldnt work ,might as well use gravity fed.
see this thing has to work due to the fact water will be going through kalk reactor and precision is involved
