Ok I bought a Tunze Osmolator 3155 from Marine Depot. I got it all hooked up and it won't pump high enough. The top of my tank is about 5' off the ground. I can hear the pump running but its not reaching the top.

If I put the pump in a bucket and lift the bucket 2 feet off the ground it works. So I am thinking this is a height issue although it is supposed to work over 6 feet.

Is there a way to adjust the power of the pump? I can't see any way to do that.

Please help

Thanks

hmm, most people have sumps and the ATO pumps to the sump, not the DT..... How about if you prime the water to fill the hose first then raise it to the level you want? It is a lot more work to raise the water 5 feet but once the water is in the hose, the pump won't need much work to push more.

Pump flow adjustment is in the box.You have to open it up
yep do this, you can find instructions on youtube. also make sure that you turn the pump upside down UNDER the water. Air has a tendency to get trapped inside the pump and reduce its abilities

I have had one in my RSM130 and it was able to pump from the ground up to the tank no problem. One thing to check as the previous post stated, make sure its primed. If air is in there it will spin the impeller with no water moving. While pump is running try giving it a good shake in your ATO container while submersed. I find that this always gets my pump primed and working.

Shouldn't the pump be strong enough out of the box to reach 5 feet. I hear it working and if I take the black tube off water comes shooting out of the pump

UPDATE!!!!!!!! I called Tunze. Inside the control box, that is taken apart by 2 little screws, is a red dial that controls flow. My dial was turned all the way down. As soon as i adjusted the dial it worked beautifully
