Tunze Osmolator 3155 Pump Tubing Adapter

I got my Tunze 3155 in today, it seems to be working good. I originally turned the pump controller to the lowest setting, concerned about the 10 second run time. Upon plugging it in, it was triggered on right away, however, no water came out of the tubing. I looked through the manual and realized that my RO line head height exceeded the minimum setting, so the pump was running, but no water coming out.

Turning up the pump control dial to the 10 o’clock position seemed to fix this. My problem is, now the water comes out with decent force and I have it aimed in the return pump chamber on the Waterbox Peninsula 15 which is not very deep. My top off water is spraying and hitting the rear tank glass and sometimes overshooting and spraying into the display. Messy.
I’d like to place a right angle adapter on the tubing so that it is aimed down into the return pump chamber to control the overspray. Anyone know of an adapter that will fit the tubing? Any issues doing this as long as the line isn’t underwater?

Is that the tubing holder it’s coming with these days? Looks way more robust than the one mine came with; mine might actually work better for your tank. I think the tubing has about the same dimensions as RO tubing. So any kind of dosing line holder should work that you could angle directly downward. One option to try if you have it lying around…would the tubing fit into a right angled RO John guest fitting? I can check for you when I get home if you need. Also there shouldn’t be anything wrong with the RO water going into the display (I.e. pulling more hose through and just directing it there instead).

Side note: it looks like your water level is really high as is the backup float. Are you sure the backup float switch will activate before the tank overflows?

Unless Tunze changed something your float switch is upside down.
The cable should come out the top.

Huh. If his is upside down mine is too. Easy way to check; with the system on, manually lift the float. If it alarms, it’s right side up.

Where is the cable comming out on the bottom? Both of my systems the cable is on top out of the water.

Mine is the same way and I bought it this summer. I’m sure it’s not upside down, I’m OCD about those things.

Yeah, they’re not made like that anymore. The cable goes under and up.

Just looked at my manuals.
The 3155 is pictured the way you have it. The 3152 is the way I have it.
I run both and my 3155 is run the same as the 3152 so I guess it does not matter.
When I setup my 3155 I just figured the cable did not go in the water. Works the same though.
On the 3155 the front shows it under water. Guess im just getting old, lol.

Edit: I see we have different variants I guess. But I definitely setup according to the manual and it works the way I have it installed.

Cool its all good!
I am waiting for the complete ato upgrade that Tunze has done and will replace all mine with the new ones. That way I will have backups for all my systems. The new units have different pump also.

Is there an ETA on this system? I saw one video on it, but that’s it. It seems like it’s been in the works for a few months.

I have not heard but probably not until after the first.
