What to setup an ATO and worried as most are about flooding. My question is how big is the float swith on the Tunze 3155? I have a Pico AIO and just worried that it wont fit in the one of the back chambers. I have looked at others but the Tunze 3155 I have not read where it failed in the on position. Will it fit?

It’s an optical sensor with an actual mechanical float switch. Everything is on a magnetic mount that’s roughly 3” in diameter.

Might be a tight fit will do some measuring this afternoon when I get back from work. The other ATO's scare me a little with the flood horror stories.

They do a smaller nano version which might be worth looking at, although it only seems to have a single float sensor

Just be aware that upon powercycling the 3155, there is a default 15 second pump run time that triggers. There is a potentiometer knob in the controller that you can adjust to slow down the pump speed. It works well for nanos but be aware of this as it still might be too much volume dispensed during those 15 seconds for the tiny return chamber of a pico.

This won’t be an issue if you don’t use a feed mode to kill your pumps and ATO during feeding. But if you’re killing power to it multiple times a day, that 15 second automatic pump run time during a power cycle may be problematic for your pico.

Hate that start up 15 second dispense.

That is good to know. Still thinking as I can’t find any in stock. Might Have to try something else in that case. I don’t do the feed mode but might if I need to start feeding corals don’t plan on any fish

I'm stuck just for that reason of the 15 second. ive got a waterbox 20. And im not sure if i want to get the 3155, reefbreeders or the duetto. All are good options i just like the reviews of the 3155, just the redundancy's of the overfill etc

I ran a 3155 in my biocube 29 for years with no issue... though I will qualify that with the fact that I never shut the ATO and return pump down multiple times a day for feeding.
