Here is my issue. A few days ago my osmolator alarm started going off while I was at work so I tried turning it off and back on so my father wouldn’t have to put up with the alarm. When I got home and turned it back on, I noticed the osmolator alarm would go off within 10 seconds of turning it on, all 4 lights flashing red. The water level is below the optic eye and the float switch. I noticed that when I turn the ATO off and back on, the pump never turned on. So I figured maybe the pump was bad, I had a backup so I put a new one on and it still wouldn’t work.

So now I don’t think it’s the pump, but maybe something with the sensor or the controller? All I know is the water level is super low, and when I turn the ATO on the pump doesn’t work, but the alarm goes off almost immediately. Sometimes the green “high water level” light is on first before the flashing red, so maybe the sensor is bad?

Anyone else had this issue?

Sounds like it could be a jumper setting inside of the controller.

Have you cleaned the optical sensor? Mine gets coralline algae on it sometimes and needs a cleaning. If you lift up on the float for the high water sensor does anything happen?

I tried lifting up on the float switch and it does not change the outcome :/

I will try this today when I get home

I doubt it's the problem, just thinking of things that might go wrong. When my optical sensor gets gunked up no alarms go off, it just doesn't top off my tank. Good Luck I hope you can figure it out.

Well I have tried soaking and cleaning the sensor and the float switch, still isn’t working. Next I will try taking the controller apart and seeing if giving that a clean with some compressed air and alcohol will help.
