I have a fairly new tank and my next purchase will be an ATO. After a bit of reading into them it's looking like I'm going to go for an osmolator.

Would you recommend Tunze's osmolator or is there a cheaper alternative which is just as reliable?

Thanks in Advance, Tom :)

I would also be interested in this. Right now I am considering the IceCap ATO vs the Tunze Osmolator.

I have a video coming out this week that will show the performance of the pumps in both of those along side the pump that is shipped with our ATK. No spoilers here. Sorry. :)

Where can I watch your video when it's available? :)

I’ve owned both and I suggest the tunze hands down. My ice cap got stuck on and dumped 3 gallons of top off water in my tank almost flooding it. I thought it was a one off but I spoke to my local lfs and they’ve received similar complaints.

Had my Tunze for about 2 months. Flawless operation. I really like the double sensors (manual float and laser) and the automatic shutoff protections. Peace of mind. . . . My only gripe is the pump is a bit noisy. I'm used to it now. But I could hear it during the night. But then again, it was peace of mind. That sound is the sound of it doing its job. Nice. Hope this helps. Cheers!

Tunze all the way. I have tried a few different ones and love this one. Flawless over a year now and i bought it used. Never any problems.

I have Tunze 3155s on 4 tanks. They range in age from 6 years to brand new and all are working flawlessly. Hard to go wrong here and there are some excellent Black Friday sales going on (BRS has it for $139.99)....

Go to autotopoff.com and buy a double float switch with bracket (make sure you get a double float switch) and then buy the BRS 50ml per hour topoff dosing pump. Less than $100!!! I put my dosing pump on the apex so it only runs the last 15 minutes of every hour. Oh and get a Kalk Stirrer as well for your ATO system it’s a must!

Currently owned 4 tunze ATO 2 571 and 2 Nano
Version never have issue
Other in the video the Float valve is too big
IMO if you have a limited space
