I know nothing about electrical wiring, so I am looking for some help to see if I can take my Vortech battery backup and make it work on my Tunze powerheads. I bought the Tunze safety connector , but I'm not sure what to do. Here is a DIY battery backup for the Tunze.

Since I have a battery already from the Vortech, I was hoping it would just take some splicing or rewiring with the tunze safety connector.

hmm...can't seem to find 'edit post' button. I came across this diagram on neptuneaquactics. I didn't realize the safety connector worked for only one pump. I've also included photos of my vortech battery/wiring.

It almost looks as easy as changing the connection on the wire coming from the safety connector labeled 12v-24v so that it will connect with the fittings on the battery.

It is as easy as just splicing the wires together. No difference between the pumps, they way they are wired up. If you can get the jacks to match up. i'd just replace all the wire ends with male/female quick connects.

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
