Tunze Protein Skimmers???

Does anyone have one of these skimmers running in there system if so what do you think about? Is it worth the money, does it work well. This is what i am looking at

Tunze DOC Protein Skimmer

All of the reviews say it is good but i would like some feed back from you guys.

I run two of the tunze 9002, very very happy with the both of them. Nearly silent in operation (honest, not the "ultra-quiet bakpack" style of quiet,) don't go nuts at the slightest fluxuation, and very simple to keep running. I've never had exceptionally "dirty" tanks, but when I do pick up the nutrients, the skimmer churns out a real nice dark brown gunk. And that's from the mini-versions, can only imagine how nice the bigger guys are, though I've also heard great things from local buddies who have the big versions.

Thanks alot for the info drainbamage. I think that is what i am going to go with :bigsmile: One more thing what is your water levle that you are running. I have been looking for it all over but cant find it. I have 10 1/2 in that it is going to sit in is that enough? Thank again man.

for the 9002 that's going to be pleanty, don't know about the other models off the top of my head. There's a water line on the side of the skimmer, and with the magnet mounting it's pretty easy to adjust the skimmer up or down. But again, that's only for the 9002, i'm not real familiar with the others.
