I believe just the watts which just increased head distance from 3ft to 3.9ft from the .04 to the .05

The .05 is controllable and the .04 is not. They use the same impeller or at least the same size impeller. The .05 is hard to find used and often sold pretty fast if ever listed unless asking for too much in price.
