Who else hates it?????? If that thing lands in the sand one more time I'm going to throw it as far as I can into the woods!!!!!! And of course it always lands in three pieces. The blades fall off.

only way to go

I'm the opposite, I have 3, 2 strongs and a strong+ and love them. The design works well keeping the inside magnet from picking up gravel and scratching the glass.

The stong+ holds better on my 3/4" glass, but the strong works just as well. I'm just a bit more careful moving it around.

If you're loosing the scraper side of the Tunze strong, chances are good that you needed the Strong+.

I'll _NEVER_ go back to any other brand of magnetic cleaner. LOVE my Tunze. Cleans great, doesn't scratch the glass, or damage the seals.

Used to scratch the heck out of my tanks with a Magfloat. Changed to the 'Flipper'... and watched it destroy the silicone in my tank. No, thanks.

Won a Tunze in a raffle, used it on my 60 cube. Awesome. Bought a Strong+ for my custom 140. Great. Still using the standard on my sump.

Yep! I keep losing the wet side. Maybe a strong + is the way to go. I like the slimness of the tunze. All the others are way too bulky.

I use the flipper. They are easy to flip. Just have to do it at a corner. I like it and have stayed with it but the blade gets dull quick once the algae starts to harden to become coralline algae. I would assume most magnets are the same way.

Yes no technology is perfect.

I’ve tried the Tunze and hated it. The Algae Free brands all I’ll use from now on. Holds tight and can flip from my glass tank to the acrylic one in a kn instant.

I use the Algae Free brand on the outside of the tank and the Tunze scraper on the inside of the tank. Yes another hybrid.

I do this as well with Tiger Shark dryside I want to really get at the coralline at the water line and the edges. I wont use the algae free wetside -- picks up sand too easily.
