Anyone aware of issues with tunze 3155 top off system ? green light disappeared no power. Bought unit off of forum awhile back, just put on tank a couple weeks back and it's been working great till this. Plugged it into know good power source just wondering if someone has had cord trouble before or something along those lines .

If you get no lights whatsoever it is likely a dead power supply. When you say you bought it off the forum, was it used, do you have any background on how old it might be? The power supplies are usually pretty reliable, we sometimes encounter duds, they can be ruined by getting wet, but usually they are a trouble free part. The best way to be sure would be to test the output of the power supply with a voltmeter, assuming it is one from the last 6 years it should be 11V DC.

Power cord is good , not sure on age , but was used, unit looked in good all around shape, I pulled cover off of controller and no loose wires or water damage what so ever, I don't know

Usually if the controller is faulty it will have some lights showing or beep. To have no lights it is usually a dead power supply. You could send it to me for testing or as an alternative check the output with a voltmeter, radio shack will sometimes do this for free if you don't have one or have a friend with one.

I'll take a look at that connection when I get home, but it only supplies power to pump, and I only checked the output on plug by plugging it in and with my fluke volt alert, making sure it beeped meaning cord had power all the way to the tip of plug

Ic, I need to rethink! Lol

A power only test is not very useful, we need to know the actual voltage, if it is too low, the controller will not power up, for the unit to run, we need at least 8.5V.

Ok, well I ordered a new power cord and will receive tomorrow, hopefully, this is the issue
